Candice Nguyen, an Emmy Award-winning senior investigative journalist with NBC Bay Area, is a proud member of the James Logan High School Class of 2006. Candice experienced significant hardship at a young age that shaped her passion for advocacy and fueled her commitment to holding systems accountable through investigative journalism.

Candice has led groundbreaking investigations that have driven real change across our communities. Her award-winning work has earned national recognition, including a Peabody Award, Hillman Prize, and Edward R. Murrow Award. As both a leading journalist and a new mother, Candice brings a powerful perspective on resilience, community, and the importance of using your voice to create change. The story of her journey is deeply personal and profoundly impactful.
